The Marine Shuttle
The Marine Shuttle is a 31-meter catamaran interior architecture project developed as a sustainable commuting alternative between Barcelona and the Costa Brava. The proposal responds to rising housing costs that push workers to live outside Barcelona, as well as heavy road congestion entering the city. By providing a viable marine route — such as Barcelona to Blanes or Tossa de Mar — the shuttle reduces stress while transforming travel time into a meaningful daily experience.

Where Wellness, Productivity and Culture Meet
Designed for both everyday commuters and leisure travelers, the shuttle supports diverse activities that take place on board. Passengers can relax, work, socialize, or recharge — making transit time a moment of personal value rather than a lost part of the day. The design vision is expressed through the motto: “Sail your way to serenity — Between the sea and the city, find yourself,” emphasizing wellbeing of body, mind, and soul as the core user experience.
The layout is divided into two functional decks. The upper deck hosts a lounge area with a café/bar, outdoor pathways, and a jacuzzi, offering a social and open-air environment connected to sea views. The lower deck houses a full wellness center — including a gym, yoga room, spa, sauna, showers, and seating zones for recovery and relaxation — allowing passengers to arrive energized and mentally prepared for their day.
