The Sincere Dream
Commercial Interior Design
A Journey Through Inner and Outer Worlds
A retail space conceived as a dreamscape of remembered travels, guiding visitors through layers of reality, memory, and myth toward an inner sense of truth. Inspired by Japanese philosophy Makoto and Diptyque’s poetic identity, the journey unfolds through four spatial realms - Reality, Memory, Dream, and Self - culminating in a serene “tea space” that embodies emotional sincerity and essence.

A Journey Through Inner and Outer Worlds
A space that evokes the emotional truth (Makoto) of remembered travels, staged like a dreamscape unfolding across layers of perception: reality, memory, symbol, and essence. Visitors enter not just a shop, but a mythic interior, a journey back to something they forgot they once knew.
The shop window incorporates the point-of-sale displays, symmetrically positioned on both sides to create a central, open pathway that invites entry. This axis leads directly to the checkout, which is placed at the heart of the store. From the outside, the storefront is designed to spark curiosity - offering glimpses that draw passersby inward, guiding them naturally toward the center to discover the new product collection.
The Sincere Dream
An immersive retail experience inspired by Jungian psychology, the Japanese concept of Makoto, and the layered nature of dream and reality. This theatrical interior invites visitors to journey inward - through shadow, material, and scent - where home décor becomes storytelling. Terracotta reds, golds, and dark wood reflect Diptyque’s refined identity, reimagined to evoke memory, emotion, and presence. My personal reflection of my designing style. Trully conceptual, deep in meaning and ambience, cozy and misteriously inviting. With raw materials, circular shapes and buzzing heart in the space.
